GLOBAL CAR CULTURE LIFESTYLE - THIS IS HOW WE ROLL

SuperFly Autos is a passion project of the car-loving married couple, Tony & Carmen (T&C for short). Since the mid 90's, they have lived and breathed the automotive lifestyle.

What started out as searching the world for the most impressive custom cars to photograph for over 25 dedicated magazines, led naturally to documenting the vibrant global car culture lifestyle – SuperFly Autos Magazine was born in December 2006.

This brand has grown to become an automotive lifestyle hub, doing inspired interviews with car creators internationally. They uncover a fascinating variety of car cultures and projects to enthral enthusiasts.

SuperFly Autos Magazine brings to life the stories of incredibly talented and passionate automotive people from around the world, to uncover both their incredible talent and dedication, as well as their fearless individuality.

This is creating the momentum for an exciting movement, inspiring others to turn their automotive dreams into reality, and become cultural giants in this sector.

SuperFly Autos
also explores other lifestyle expressions, including music, fashion, film. The result is a blend of nostalgia and iconic style, that elevates automotive appeal to new heights.

These stories, which Superfly brings vividly to life in their print magazine and videos, express the undefeatable creativity of the human spirit, and the richness of cultural unity within the global car community.

OUR MISSION

Tony & Carmen Matthews

"To document and unite the different car cultures and lifestyle, by seeking out the most inspiring and out there automotive projects from all corners of the world"

CARMEN MATTHEWS

Carmen, born and raised in Germany, discovered her passion for photography at the age of 9 while using her father's 35mm camera on a summer holiday in France. Her father, a photography enthusiast himself, encouraged her by getting her a camera of her own a year later.

From the age of 11 years, her father had a great passion for hot rod racing at the Bonneville salt flats and the legend Dean Moon from Mooneyes. He collected books and VHS Cassettes, where he would share the stories with her.

This early love for photography was matched only by her enthusiasm for cars, despite her father's untimely passing, Carmen's passion for cars and photography endured wherever she went.

In 2003, while living and working in Switzerland, Carmen met Tony.

By a twist of fate, they both relocated to London, England around the same time, marking the beginning of their shared journey in life and in automotive photography and lifestyle.

TONY MATTHEWS

Tony’s passion for cars began with Diecast Models in his childhood, evolving into a fascination with car modification, after picking up a custom car magazine back in 1991 and once he got his first car. He built his own custom car and organised numerous car club stands at car events in England. He also led convoys of cars to more than 50 car shows and cruises, got his car featured in 3 major automotive custom car magazines (Maxpower, Revs & Super GTI) and worked as a freelance writer for Fast Car Magazine whilst at University and working part time stacking shelves at a supermarket.

A lucky break right in the beginning of his career, took him to his hometown in France enjoying his true passion for cars, where his bilingual skills helped bridge the language barrier for Fastcar magazine, working alongside their photographer, to capture the story of the car owner.

This experience led to working for Fast Car from 2003 to 2006 as Consumer Writer, which took him to Switzerland to capture on camera a local car show, where he met Carmen. Their shared love for cars and photography blossomed, culminating in the purchase of their first DSLR camera with proceeds from selling Tony’s uniquely modified Fiat Cinquecento, marking the start of SuperFly Autos in 2006.
